#MarchMajesty - Celebrates: Jean Grae
As we celebrate Women in the Hip Hop Industry we now take a look at the uncompromising career of Jean Grae. Grae a South African native came to the U.S shortly after her birth where her parent relocated to NYC where she would attend the famed: “Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School” after which she moved on to New York University. Getting her start as apart of the group “Ground Zero”, which managed to get picked by the Source to be featured in the “Unsigned Hype” Section. After which should would join group “Natural Resource” under the stage name “What, What”
As a solo artist Jean would release several albums starting with her first album: “Attack of the Attacking Things” followed by “This Week” along with production from some of hip hops legendary producers Jean would release an album with celebrated North Carolina producer 9th Wonder, of Little Brother fame, entitled Jeanius.
