On this day in 1980, Pioneer Rapper & Harlem native Kurtis Blow released his classic self titled debut album. Kurtis Blow is the first rapper in history to be signed to a major record label. This album includes his singles Christmas Rappin' as well as The Breaks, which was the first ever Gold Selling single.
