#VitalFactz: 36th Anniversary - Boogie Down Productions (Criminal Minded)

On this day in 1987, veteran crew Boogie Down Productions released their classic debut LP Criminal Minded. This album was certified Gold. It includes songs such as South Bronx, Poetry, Criminal Minded as well as The Bridge Is Over. Sadly, this would be the only album that included founding BDP member DJ Scott LaRock as he was shot and killed nearly 7 months after the album's release. Nevertheless, Criminal Minded has been one of hip hop's most influential albums ever and will continue that trend for years to come.
