On this day in 1988, Philadelphia natives DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince released their second album He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper. This is the duo's most successful album to date. It was certified Triple Platinum. It includes the singles Parents Just Don't Understand (which put the duo in the history books by winning the first ever Hip Hop Grammy for Best Rap Single), Nightmare On My Street and Brand New Funk.
