On this day in 1988, Boogie Down Productions released their 2nd album By All Means Necessary. This was a very trying time for KRS-One. The reason being that BDP member DJ Scott LaRock was killed during the recording of this project, over a dispute involving fellow BDP member D-Nice. Nevertheless, KRS managed to soldier on and finish the album and it reached Gold Status. It includes the singles Stop The Violence, My Philosophy and I'm Still #1.
