On this day in 1994, So So Def artist Da Brat released her debut studio album Funkdafied. This album was certified Platinum, making her the first female solo Hip Hop artist to do so (and the second female Hip Hop act behind Salt-N-Pepa). This album includes the singles For All Y'all, Give It 2 You as well as the platinum selling title track Funkdafied.
