On this day in 1997, The Notorious B.I.G.'s sophomore Life After Death album was released. This album was certified Diamond. It peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart & remained there for 4 consecutive weeks. It also topped the R&B Albums Chart. This album features the singles Sky's The Limit, Hypnotize & Mo Money Mo Problems. Sadly, Christopher Wallace did not live to enjoy the success of this album as he was gunned down in Los Angeles, California 16 days prior to the release of this album. His murder remains unsolved.
