On this day in 1996 Tupac Shakur's 5th & final album (that was written & recorded during his lifespan) The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory was released under the alter ego Makaveli. It was supposed to drop in March of '97. But because of Tupac's murder in September of '96, Suge Knight decided to release it earlier. It was created in only 7 days total, 3 days for the recording process & 4 to complete the mixing. The album sold over 4 million copies in the US & was his third consecutive album to top both The Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart & The R&B Albums Chart. It includes the singles Hail Mary, Toss It Up & To Live & Die In L.A..
