On this day in 1991, N.W.A. alum Ice Cube released his highly anticipated 2nd LP Death Certificate. This album was certified Platinum & peaked at #2 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. It was also the first of 3 consecutive albums to top the R&B Albums Chart. Due to some of its racially and politically charged content, this album ruffled a lot of feathers. It includes the singles Steady Mobbin' and True To The Game. It also includes the classic diss track No Vaseline, which was a direct shot at his former group N.W.A.
