His contributions (on songs like Nuthin But a G Thang) helped push the album to over 5 million copies being sold in the US, thus creating an anticipation beyond belief for his own debut album Doggystyle. This album topped the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart as well as the R&B Albums Chart. He would have the same chart success with his next 2 albums (Tha Doggfather & Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told) even though those 2 albums both only went Double Platinum, the latter being his debut album for Master P's No Limit Label. He would go on to make 2 more albums for the label (No Limit Top Dogg & Tha Last Meal) before parting ways with the label. In 2004 Snoop scored his first #1 hit on the Charts (Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart and R&B Singles Chart) with the Neptunes produced single Drop It Like It's Hot. This single was certified Triple Platinum and was the lead single off his 7th studio album R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece.
