Happy Bornday @fatjoe Fat Joe. Born Joseph Antonio Cartagena August 19, 1970. Joe, originally from The Bronx, New York City, is a member of the Hip Hop collective D.I.T.C. (Diggin In The Crates) as well as the founder & CEO of Terror Squad Entertainment. In 1993 he released his debut album Represent, featuring the single Flow Joe. This album was followed by J.O.E. (Jealous Ones Envy). It was his third album Don Cartegena, that really started getting the industry's attention. It reached Gold status & peaked at #7 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. His next album J.O.S.E. (Jealous Ones Still Envy) is his biggest selling album to date, having reached Platinum status. His hits include the Gold selling singles What's Luv (Ft: Ashanti), Get It Poppin' (Ft: Nelly) & Another Round (Ft: Chris Brown), plus the Platinum selling single Make It Rain (Ft: Lil Wayne). He also had a smash hit in 2004 with Terror Squad, Lean Back. this single topped Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart (3 weeks), The R&B Singles Chart (7 weeks) & The Hot Rap Singles Chart where it stayed for 12 weeks. It also reached Gold status. In March of 2016, Joe & fellow Terror Squad member Remy Ma dropped the smash hit All The Way Up (Featuring: French Montana). This single reached Double Platinum (over 2 million copies sold). When his fellow Terror Squad member Big Pun died in 2000, Joe vowed to go on a diet. In 2011, Fat Joe unveiled his latest weight loss efforts in the video for his song "Drop a Body" after shedding 88 pounds off his previous weight of 350 pounds. Furthermore, he follows a low-carb approach, eating some sweet potatoes but not eating bread, rice and pasta.
