On this day in 1988, legendary West Coast group N.W.A. released their full length debut studio album Straight Outta Compton. This album took Gangster Rap music to another level as the group pulled no punches in their efforts to bring street life to the forefront. The album was certified Triple Platinum & peaked at #4 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. It includes Gangsta Gangsta, Express Yourself as well as the title track.
