Happy birthday Yo-Yo. Born Yolanda Whitaker August 4, 1971. Whitaker, a Compton, California native first came on the scene in 1991 when she released her first album Make Way For The Motherlode. This album includes Stompin' to the 90's & You Can't Play With My Yo-Yo. She has 4 studio albums to date. Yo-Yo has taken active roles in advocating for hip-hop musicians and encouraging community involvement. Yo-Yo is married with 2 kids & currently runs the Yo-Yo School Of Hip Hop.
