Happy Birthday Andre 3000. Born Andre Benjamin May 27, 1975. Benjamin is one-half of the legendary Atlanta based duo Outkast, along with Big Boi. They formed in 1991 & in 1994 signed to LaFcae Records. They released their Platinum selling debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.It features the single Player's Ball. In 1996 they released their Double Platinum follow-up album ATLiens. It includes the singles Elevators (Me & You), Jazzy Belle & the title track (ATLiens). In 1998 they released their 3rd album Aquemini, another Double Platinum seller. It includes Rosa Parks as well as Skew It on the Bar-B. In 2000 they released their 4th album Stankonia. this album was certified 4X Platinum. It features the Platinum selling single Ms. Jackson. This would be their biggest selling single to date. Their follow-up single was So Fresh, So Clean. In 2003 they released their most successful album to date Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. It was certified Diamond. It features the singles Hey Ya, The Way You Move, Roses & Prototype. This album peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. this album earned a Grammy in 2004 for Album Of The Year. Andre also has a successful movie career. Although it's been nearly 15 years since their last album, fans are still waiting for a new project.
