On this day in 1990, former N.W.A. member Ice Cube released his highly anticipated debut solo album Amerikkka's Most Wanted. This album reached Platinum status & would be the first of 5 consecutive albums to do so. This album features production from The Bomb Squad, Public Enemy's main production team. Cube initially wanted Dr. Dre to produce the album, & Dre himself wanted to do it. But Jerry Heller (N.W.A.'s manager) & Eazy E were against it. So Cube temporarily relocated to New York to work on the album. This album features the single Who's The Mack.
