Happy Birthday Parrish "PMD" Smith. Born May 13, 1968. Parrish is one-half of the legendary duo from Long Island known to the world as EPMD. Parrish & his partner Erick Sermon first came on the scene in 1988 with the release of their debut album Strictly Business. This album reached Gold Status & topped the Billboard's R&B Albums Chart. It would be the first of 5 consecutive Gold albums with hits that include You Gots To Chill & the title track (Strictly Business). Their 1989 Follow-up album Unfinished Business would also top the R&B Albums Chart. It included the singles So What You Sayin' & The Big Payback. Their 1990 follow-up album Business As Usual would be their 3rd consecutive album to top the R&B Albums Chart. It Included the hits Rampage, Gold Digger & Give The People. Their 1992 album Business Never Personal included the Gold selling single Crossover as well as Headbanger. Sadly due to personal issues, Erick & Parrish parted ways temporarily in 1993. Parrish released 2 solo albums during this split, Shade Business & Business Is Business. The duo reunited in 1997 & in the fall dropped their 5th album Back In Business. This album included singles such as Never Seen Before, Da Joint & Richter Scale. Parrish is also the founder of the collective known to the world as the Hit Squad, which included Redman, K-Solo & Das EFX.
