Happy Birthday @therealredman Redman. Born Reginald Noble April 17, 1970. Reggie, A Newark, New Jersey native first got his break when he was discovered by Erick Sermon of EPMD when he was a DJ for lords Of the Underground. He was first featured as a guest artist on EPMD's 1990 album Business As Usual, the songs being Hardcore & Brothers On My Jock. In 1992 he released his debut album on the Def Jam Whut? Thee Album. The album was a Gold seller. This album included the singles Blow Your Mind & Time 4 Sum Aksion (both which topped the Hot Rap Singles Chart) as well as Tonight's Da Night. In 1994 Redman released his second album Dare Iz a Darkside, another Gold seller& the first of 4 consecutive albums to top the R&B Albums chart. This album features Rockafella & Can't Wait. 1996 saw the release of his third consecutive Gold seller Muddy Waters. It includes the singles It's Like That (My Big Brother), Pick It Up as well as Whateva Man. 1998 saw the release of his most successful album to date. Doc's da Name 2000 was Certified Platinum. The album included the singles I'll Be Dat & The Goodness. Redman has had a successful collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man on projects such as the Gold selling single How High as well as their Platinum selling collective effort Blackout. Redman has 8 studio albums to date.
