#VitalFactz: Happy Birthday - Mr. Cheeks


Happy Birthday @MRCHEEKSLBFAM Mr. Cheeks. Born Terrance Kelly March 28, 1971. Kelly, a native of South Jamaica, Queens got his start as a member of the group The Lost Boyz. In 1996 they released their debut release Legal Drug Money. This album received a Gold Plaque & peaked at #1 on Billboard's R&B Albums Chart. It included the singles Lifestyles of the Rich & Shameless, Renee, Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz, Get Up as well as Music Makes Me High. In 1997 they released their follow-up album Love, Peace & Happiness. This album also reached Gold Status & included the singles Me & My Crazy World as well as the title track (Love, Peace & Happiness). In 1999 Lost Boyz released their final album LB IV Life. Six months prior to the release of this album, group member Freaky Tah was murdered. This album failed to produce any hits. It was then that Mr. Cheeks decided to pursue a solo career. In 2001 he released his debut solo album John P. Kelly, which featured the single Lights, Camera Action. In 2003 he released his follow-up album Back Again which features the single Crush On You. His featured singles include 112's 1996 single Come See Me as well as Lil Kim's 2003 single The Jump Off.
