#VitalFactz: Rest In Peace (Craig Mack)
The Hip Hop industry has suffered yet another tragic loss. Bad Boy artist Craig Mack passed away yesterday from heart failure at a hospital near his home at Walterboro, South Carolina. Mack had been ill for some time & was prepared such an outcome. Craig first made a name for himself as one of the first artist to sign with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records. His debut single Flava In Ya Ear which was produced by Legendary Easy Mo Bee was a Platinum seller & topped the Hot Rap Singles Chart. The Remix (click here) to this track featured an All Star cast & further cemented his name in the game. His follow-up single Get Down, also produced by Mo Bee went Gold. These 2 singles help catapult his debut album Project: Funk The World to Gold Status. Unfortunately, this would be the only album released on The Bad Boy label as Craig & Puffy parted ways. He was never able to duplicate the success of this album but he will always be remembered as the first Platinum selling artist for Bad Boy. That can never be undone. Rest In Peace Craig Mack May 10, 1971 - March 12, 2018.
