On this day in 1992, N.W.A. alum Dr. Dre released his classic debut album The Chronic. This album was a huge success. It sold over 5.7 million copies in the US & peaked at #3 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. He credits The D.O.C. for talking him into doing this album. It includes the Gold Selling single Fuck wit Dre Day (And Everybody's Celebratin'), Let Me Ride (which earned him a Grammy Award in 1994 for Best Rap Solo Performance) & the Platinum Selling single Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang.
