On this day in 1993, Long Beach, California native @SnoopDogg Snoop Doggy Dogg released his highly anticipated debut studio album Doggystyle. This album exceeded all expectations. It debut at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart & topped the R&B Albums Chart as well. It sold over 800,000 copies in its first week & went on to sell over 11 million copies Worldwide (4 million in the US). It includes the singles What's My Name?, Gin & Juice & Doggy Dogg World.
