Happy Birthday Phife Dawg. Born Malik Izaak Taylor(November 20, 1970 – March 22, 2016). Phife was part of the Legendary Hip Hop Group A Tribe Called Quest, along with Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Q-Tip. Together they had 3 Gold Albums & 3 Platinum Albums to their credit. They had their biggest success with their 4th album Beats, Rhymes & Life. It reached Platinum Status & topped both The Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart & The R&B Albums Chart. Sadly, during the recording of their final album We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, Taylor passed away from complications related to diabetes, which he was first diagnosed with in 1990. That album debut at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. Q-Tip assured that it would be their last album as the loss of Phife Dawg can never be replaced.
