On this day in 1993, Newark New Jersey native @IAMQUEENLATIFAH Queen Latifah released her third studio album Black Reign. This would turn out to be her breakthrough album as it reached Gold Status. It includes the hits U.N.I.T.Y. (her highest charting single to date & a Grammy Award Winner), Just Another Day, Weekend Love, Black Hand Side & I Can't Understand.
