Happy Birthday Sean "Puffy" Combs. Born November 4, 1969. Combs (born In Manhattan, NYC & raised in Mount Vernon) got his start in the music industry as an intern at Uptown Records, which was founded by Andre Harrell. He eventually worked his way up to talent director. However, Harrell felt that Combs was starting to feel like he was calling the shots at Uptown, thus being forced to relieve him of his position. In 1993 Combs founded Bad Boy Records & inked a distribution deal with Arista Records. His first acts were Craig Mack & Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace. Puffy (also known as Puff Daddy & P. Diddy, eventually took on artists such as Faith Evans, The Lox, Carl Thomas, Mase, G-Dep, Loon as well as others. He played a huge part in launching the careers of artists like Jodeci & Mary J. Blige. As an artists himself he has 4 studio albums to his credit. His first album No Way Out would be his most successful album to date, having sold over 7 million copies in the US & topping the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart. He has 3 Grammy Awards & 2 MTV Video Music Awards to his credit.
