Happy Birthday Will Smith, Born Willard Carroll Smith Jr . September 25, 1968. Will first rose to fame in the Hip Hop industry as one half of the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. In 1987 they released their debut album Rock The House which features the hit Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble. Their follow-up album in 1988 was their breakthrough album. He's The DJ I'm The Rapper sold 3 million copies in the US & earned them the first ever Grammy in the Hip Hop category for the hit song Parents Just Don't Understand. Will is also one of the few rappers who have made the successful transition from rapping to acting as he landed a TV sitcom in 1990 Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. In 1991 he & Jeff dropped their 4th studio album Homebase, another Platinum seller which features (arguably) their most popular hit Summertime, which earned them a another Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group. As a solo artist he earned a few more Grammy's for hits such as Men In Black & Gettin' Jiggy With It. He also won 6 American Music Awards. His solo work also includes 5 MTV Music Video Awards.
