Happy Birthday Wale. Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin September 21, 1984. Wale (originally from Washington, D.C.) is a Nigerian descendant. His parents His parents were from the Yoruba ethnic group of Southwestern Nigeria. In 2009 he released his debut studio album Attention Deficit which features the singles Chillin' & Pretty Girls. He then signed to Maybach Music Group (which was founded by Rick Ross). In 2011 he released his 2nd studio album Ambition. This album reached Gold status & included the Platinum selling single Lotus Flower Bomb. In 2013 he released The Gifted. This would be his second consecutive Gold album & the first of 2 consecutive albums to top the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart, the R&B Albums Chart and the Rap Albums Chart. This album includes the hit Bad (over 2 million copies sold). His next 2 releases (The Album About Nothing & Shine) included the singles The Body, The Matrimony & My PYT.
