On this day in 1988, Juice Crew member & producer Marley Marl released the classic compilation album In Control Volume:1. This album showcased his style of hip hop production and sampling at a time when he became one of the first super-producers in hip hop music. One of the most popular tracks on the album is the timeless posse cut The Symphony.
