#VitalFactz: Happy Birthday - Ludacris
Happy Bornday @Ludacris Ludacris. Born Christopher Brian Bridges September 11, 1977. Christopher is originally from Champaign, His family moved to Atlanta when he was 9 years old. In 1998 he set in motion the foundation of Disturbing The Peace along with manager Chaka Zulu, and Zulu's brother Jeff Dixon. The record label started as an independent label (& is distributed by Def Jam South) and was created to serve as an outlet for musicians hailing from the “Dirty South” especially for Ludacris who at the time failed to get a major label record deal. In 2000 Ludacris dropped his official debut studio album Back For The First Time. This album was a huge success, having reached Triple Platinum Status (over 3 million copies sold) thanks to the Platinum selling lead-off single What's Your Fantasy & the follow-up single Southern Hospitality. The following year he released his sophomore album Word Of Mouf which also went Triple Platinum & reached higher up on the charts. It includes the singles Roll Out (My Business), Move Bitch, Area Codes & Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!). At this point Ludacris showed no signs of slowing down as his next 2 releases (Chicken-n-Beer & The Red Light District) each went Double Platinum & both topped Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart as well as the R&B Albums Chart. They included hits such as Splash Waterfalls, Stand Up, Get Back & Number One Spot. In 2006 he dropped the Platinum selling album Release Therapy (his third consecutive album to top Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart) which includes the hit single Money Maker. Ludacris would go on to release 2 more Gold Albums (Theater Of The Mind & Battle Of The Sexes), the latter containing the smash hits How Low & My Chick Bad (Featuring: Nicki Minaj) as well as the My Chick Bad Remix (Featuring: Diamond, Trina & Eve).
