Happy Bornday @LilKim Lil Kim. Born Kimberly Denise Jones July 11, 1974. Kim, a native of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York, started off as a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A., a Brooklyn based group which was introduced & promoted by Christopher The Notorious B.I.G. Wallace. She was only 19 at the time. In 1995 the group released its debut album Conspiracy, which was greeted with mediocre reviews & moderate sales. In 1996 Kim released her solo debut album Hard Core, which was certified Double Platinum. Her next 2 releases The Notorious K.I.M. & La Bella Mafia reached Platinum status as well. Kim also has 4 mixtapes to her credit. In 2002 Kim earned a Grammy Award in the Category of Best Collaboration With Vocals. This was for her contribution to the single Lady Marmalade, from the Moulin Rouge! Soundtrack.
