Rest In Peace Beastie boys Member MCA. Born Adam Nathaniel Yauch August 5, 1964 - May 4, 2012.
Yauch, along with Michael Mike D Diamond, & Adam Ad-Rock Horovitz formed The Beastie Boys.
They first signed to Def Jam in 1984. In 1985 they went on tour opening for acts like Madonna (on her Like A Virgin Tour). In 1986 they accompanied Run-D.M.C. on their Raising Hell Tour along with Whodini, LL Cool J & Times Social Club. Later that year they released their debut album Licensed To Ill, which would be the first Rap Album to reach the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. It remains their biggest selling album to date reaching Diamond Status (over 10 million copies sold). Yauch passed away from cancer at the age of 47.
