Rest In Peace Guru. Born Keith Edward Elam July 17, 1961 - April 19, 2010. Guru, along with Houston, Texas native Christopher Edward DJ Premier Martin formed the duo Gang Starr. Together they had 6 studio albums to their credit. Their 5th album Moment Of Truth was their biggest selling studio album reaching Gold Status & peaking at #6 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. As a solo artist he released 7 albums including 4 volumes of Guru's Jazzmatazz.
